Update 2/14/25

Previously:  Ellen ran across this poor kitty in East Oakland, her foot partially missing & bloody, and took her to SF SPCA. They put a cast on her, & cleaned her up. Happily, she’ll be able to live in Ellen’s backyard catio.

Update:  Ellen has named this kitty “Lola”, and she is doing well and recently had a dental, paid in part by the donations recently received.

Also, Ellen responded to an Oakland neighborhood when a resident moved away and abandoned 7 feral cats that he had been feeding. The neighbors were surprised that their neighbor hadn’t told anyone he was leaving, or made any arrangements for the cats. 

One of the neighbors was so grateful for Ellen’s help that she posted the story on Reddit and in conjunction with Giving Tuesday donations Ellen was able to trap & place the seven cats at Wolf Ranch Rescue sanctuary in Napa.
