Alex & Abbey were 2 kittens in the parking lot of an Oakland Library. They were being fed, but their future was a little unknown. A Hungry Kitty volunteer trapped both of them one early morning, and they were taken to a foster home. They have thrived there, sleeping on their foster mom’s bed. She has 2 beautiful Senior cats that welcome these young ones, and show them the ropes that they are safe and secure, and that people aren’t scary.
The mom cat is a beautiful young Siamese girl that turned out to be a tame kitty. She is in a home now and doing well. It is so important to get these young feral kittens off the streets so they can be socialized. Here is a photo of them. And very important to get mom cat spayed so that more litters of kittens aren’t born.
When people see kittens in their back yards, they often panic, knowing that a feral mom cat can have 3 to 4 litters a year. Oakland has a lot of cats that need to be fixed. Please be part of the solution not the person that just looks away.
They’ll be adopted into their permanent home tomorrow.
